| Music Keyboard Lessons |
Scan the keys, study the notes, and tune your ears. You'll be
serenading yourself before you dreamed possible. Monday lessons are available by private
appointment. |
| Happy Harpers Harmonicas |
"Happy Harpers"… a fun bunch of "mouth
organ musicians" meet twice a week in the Music Room. They perform for various VO
functions and private parties, as well as, several valley-wide events. Want to learn how
to play the harmonica? We'll lend a helping hand! |
| VO Band |
A number of musically inclined individuals reside at VO. Could
you be such a person? If so---have we got a deal for you! The 22-piece big band is always
keeping its eyes and ears open for new talent. So stop by for a jam session. Our numerous
pianos and organs are also available for your use. Feel free to schedule an hour or so
through the Activity Office. |
| Kitchen Band |
Bring your imagination, inventive spirit and indulge yourself
in an instrumental interlude! Instruments are constructed from ordinary kitchen items such
as spoons, funnels, brushes, coffee cans, washtubs and washboards. Come to rehearse,
entertain and make merry music. |
| Hams at Heart |
VO's own theatrical troupe produces a show
each season. Production
is written, directed, staged and performed by residents. From painting spectacular stage
scenery, to creating costumes and portraying parts that stimulate smiles, these proud
participants give their all. Take a ticket or push a broom... for your talent, there's
always room! |
| Guitar Lessons |
Strum your way across the musical spectrum. Bring your own
instrument and start with the basics or take individual lessons with the most
accommodating and talented guitarists around. |
| Choir |
One of
the finest in the Valley can be heard each Sunday morning during the non-denominational
Worship Service in our Ballroom. Practice once a week. |
