onsite. Free lessons are given followed by open draw play for beginners on Thursday.

| Golf Association |
FORE! For a small membership fee, you may join an active group
of VO golfers, playing at a myriad of local courses. Set a tee time, grab some balls. Head
for the fairways, skirting the malls. Drive straight and true, resist the rough. Then home
again, my friend, when you've had enough! |
| Pool/Billiards |
An incredible 11 table pool room offers tournaments, leagues or
just pushing a cue for your own enjoyment. Men's, women's and mixed leagues challenge and
encourage inter-park play! Lockers are available for a minimal fee. Rack 'em up! |
| Croquet |
Games played twice a week. Mallets are provided. So, get on the
stick and whack that "wound thing" through the wicket. |
| Darts |

Arts and Crafts Room with dart boards and darts supplied. No dues or membership fees. |
| Bocce Ball |
Originating in Italy, the game is played with eight large
balls, teams strive to roll their red/green balls nearest the "palino (a small
orange ball). Four courts are available for play; lessons free on Wednesdays, equipment
onsite and league play an option for competitors. |
| Table Tennis |
A certified coach teaches beginning lessons on Saturday
mornings. Elements include service, forehand and backhand plus "Rules of the
Game." Seasoned players, follow the bouncing ball to a terrific time and a test of
your table tennis talents. |

LOVE! Love to play tennis? A ball machine, eight courts and
congenial partners beckon racquet wielding amateurs to the net. Free beginner lessons,
league play and open play are available. Try your hand, be it fore or backhand, and have a
smashing good time! |

"Pedal your way through Paradise". Exploring
our gorgeous Phoenix area is the Biking Group's aim. Maps of the most popular, safe treks
are available for pickup at the Activity Office. |
| Senior SLO Pitch Softbal |
No, we're not throwing you a curve! The Mesa Department of
Parks and Recreation organizes senior softball play from January to March each season with
the only requirement being participants be at least 50 years of age. VO currently has four
teams terrorizing the League. A Championship tournament follows the regular season.

Paddle Tennis involves an underhand serve and limited running, making this an ideal sport for seniors. Played with an oversized paddle, one can become a "Wimbledon Wonder" without much effort! We have four great courts to play on and instruction furnished FREE!
